Pat is probably the most learned historian of any politician and news columnist we have today. His grasp of European history particularly the events leading up to WWII, are both accurate and insightful. In this article, Pat is of the opinion that the U.S., aside from being hypocritical, is driving Russia toward the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 and 39. He may be right. God may be using the U.S. to accomplish two things: (1) the judge the United States for our national sins, which are many and (2) to bring the Russian army into the Middle East for destruction. They may destroy us before God destroys them.
From emails I receive, many are simply not willing to admit the United States has become a godless wicked nation deserving of judgment and think the good old days, and even better days are ahead of us. That is blind folly and indicative of not having a biblical worldview. I know it upsets some, but this nation has no future apart from repentance - from the top down and that includes the professing Church that has become worldly and carnal.
Democratic National Convention - Lying About Energy!
The DNC is turning into a finger pointing and lying platform, particularly about our energy policy. They are simply not telling the American people the truth that the liberal left wing democrats sucking up to the radical environmentalist are solely responsible for the lack of a home grown energy supply. While we sit on abundant energy sources, the liberal democrats have shut down 85% of our oil, gas, and coal capacity. The democratic hypocrites blame the Bush administration for the high price of gasoline and for not having a viable energy policy when the truth is that President Bush has tried every year he has been in office to increase drilling where proven reserves exist, but no, the liberal nitwit democrats refuse to allow the oil companies and independents to extract the much needed black gold that God placed in this earth for us to use.
An increasing number of scientists from all over the world now believe oil and gas are not derivatives from fossils, but is "abiotic" - naturally occurring and replenishing in the earth. As it forms beneath the earth's crust, it forces it's way upward between the rock formations. Where scientists have been wrong is to assume that since oil and gas are found among the rock formations, the source had to be fossils from dinosaurs, etc.
"A lead scientist on the theory of abiotic oil formations, Giroa Proskurowski, at the School of Oceanography - University of Washington, Seattle, says the hydrogen-rich fluids venting at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean in the Lost Hydrothermal Field were produced by abiotic synthesis of hydrocarbons in the mantle of the earth" and not from fossils.
According to an article by Jerome Corsi (author of Obama Nation), in the August issue of Whistleblower Magazine, scientists supporting the abiotic theory say, "Traditional petro-geologists have confused the rock formations as the originator rather than the depository of the hydrocarbons, and from the Word of God, I believe they are correct, for the Bible tells us that God placed oil in the earth for man to use (See my article in the Political Archives Section - "The Bible and Oil" 6/24/08).
Folks, as they say in rural East Texas where I was born and lived the first eleven years of my life, I double-dog guarantee you that if the democrats take over the government in January 2009, green energy will not save you one penny at the gas pump for its development is years away from reducing our dependence on foreign oil and gas. While we may see electric gas on the market by the end of 2009, it will still take years to build a viable infrastructure to service the electric automobile. In addition, the mobility of electric cars compared to gasoline and diesel power autos is limited and will be for some time.
Mr. Boone Pickens and his investor friend, Nancy Pelosi, are promoting wind energy and natural gas as the solution to our auto and utility producers. The truth is that wind energy requires an enormous amount of land to produce electricity, and even if Mr. Pickens places wind turbines on all the available land in West Texas, which is a lot, the total energy produced would only make a small dent in our total energy needs - less than 10%. Mr. Pickens knows this, but he stands to make another fortune from wind energy, so he is already counting his money at the bank.
He is right about natural gas, for it is clean energy and we have the largest supplies of natural gas in the world. The energy companies have been telling Congress for years that they can transform our transportation industry to natural gas as well as utility production, but the dumb liberal democrats have blocked every attempt to do so.
You need to understand that if Obama becomes president, we will remain dependent on foreign oil for the duration of his tenure, even if he serves two terms, and the price of gasoline will exceed $5.00 per gallon. In addition, home utility bills are going to go out the roof as the cost of imported refined natural gas continues to rise.
If OPEC and Russia (the world's largest exporters of oil and gas) realized that the United States had the capacity and the will to become energy independent, the price of crude would drop like a lead balloon. From the sources I read on domestic energy production, the price of crude would drop to around $70-$80 a barrel and the price at the pump would be back where it was when George W. took office in 2001 - about $1.50 a gallon. Think how much you would save on energy and food costs if this scenario were true, and if could be if the liberal left wing nuts of the democratic party (a few republicans) would get some common sense and give-up partisan politics.

Vacation Postponed!
Due to an unexpected financial situation with my wife's company (She is the CFO) caused by the banking crisis, our planned vacation has been put on hold until it is resolved. While I cannot divulge confidential information about the temporary crisis, I can tell you that it is a direct result of the financial - banking crisis we are facing in this nation. The big banks are revamping their business portfolios and in the process are shaving off long-time customers (the little guys they no longer desire to keep). While my wife's company has a back-up plan in process, the banks shameful action, caused her to have to scramble for interim financing. The big bank's attitude toward her company was gross indifference even though there has been a long-term relationship.
We are going to see more of this in the near and extended future if Obama is elected president for his tax policies do not favor business.
I watched the Democratic Convention last night and witnessed a lot of emotional gullible people shout praises to a political platform that will bring immense grief not relief to the electorate. "O" and "Joe" are not the answer to America's continued decline spiritually, morally, socially, and economically. I'm not convinced John McCall will be much better, but he may not tax us out the gazoot as well as impose centralized control of our lives as an Obama presidency will surely do.
I have many articles to write, but since we are not going on vacation, I will try to complete the remaining projects around the house by September 15th and be back on my website on the 16th. So much is happening that I could write several articles each day and may write one or two while I am finishing up the house projects.
Why Did Russia Invade Georgia?
While the nation is fixated on the DNC this week, there is something about the Russian invasion of Georgia that is being overlooked, which Joel Rosenberg (author of "The Epicenter") mentioned to Glenn Beck last night on his show. For Russia to invade Israel and the Middle East as predicted by Ezekiel 38 and 39, they would have to come right through Georgia. Russia joins Georgia on its southwest border, and Georgia borders Turkey on the south. The shortest route for a Russian military invasion of Israel on land is through Georgia, Turkey, and Syria (consult a world map). According to Ezekiel, both Turkey and Syria will be confederate with Russia in this future invasion. Russia also has a large naval base in the Black Sea and has taken over the Georgian sea port of Poti.
The pro-West democratic government of Georgia stands in the way of Russia's conquest of the Middle East and must be defeated. This will eventually bring a confrontation between Russia and the United States. Russia is very angry at the U.S. for signing a missile deal with Poland and the Ukraine as well as promoting their entry into NATO. Russia is fat and sassy with a lot of cash (much of it U.S. dollars) and an abundance of oil and gas. Under Putin, they have modernized their military and are itching to prove they are the world's new military superpower. When they invaded Georgia, within two days, they had over 1200 tanks inside the tiny nation. The Russian soldiers were cocky, obtuse, and cold in their demeanor toward the Georgians and the Western journalists. They brutally killed many civilians and destroyed much civilian property.
What Are the Three Ribs in the Bear's Mouth?
Prophecy buffs think the Russian Bear with three ribs in its mouth were its invasion of Poland, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia; however, Poland today is an independent nation experimenting with democracy. Hungary is part of the EU and Czechoslovakia is now two nations - the Czech Republic and Slovakia. None of the former three nations are under the Russian sphere of influence. The old Soviet Union is dead. However, since Ezekiel's prophecy deals with mother Russia, it is my opinion that Russia will invade and conquer three modern nations in its quest for world dominance. Is one of those nations the United States? Possibly!
Ezekiel says the King of the North (Gog) from the land of Magog will think an evil thing in his mind (will plan to invade a country or countries), but God will place hooks in his jaws and bring him down upon the mountains of Israel where God, not Israel or any other nation, will destroy the Russian army along with the other nations that are confederate with Russia. When this happens, the nations will know that the God of heaven did it.
The Unknown Prophecy!
WorldNetDaily has recently run an article about what they refer to as a "secret, unknown prophecy" that will take place before the Russian invasion of Ezekiel 38 and 39. The prophecy they refer to is the one mentioned in Psalms 83, which speaks of an Arab Coalition that will plan and execute an invasion of Israel in the last days. I'm not sure why WND refers to this prophecy as an unknown war preceding Ezekiel's war. Several prophecy scholars have written about this war including yours truly (not that I am a scholar, but the war of Psalms 83 in conjunction with Isaiah 17 has not been fulfilled to date).
It is my studied opinion that the war of Psalms 83 and Isaiah 17 precipitate the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39, for the Psalms 83 and Isaiah 17 war greatly decimate Israel (many are killed and several cities totally destroyed); this may entice Russia to invade a greatly weakened Israel causing God Himself to destroy the mighty Russia Army along with Iran and company.

God is Preparing the Nations For Armageddon
What is taking place in Russia and Georgia is God preparing the world for the tribulation and the rise of the Antichrist who has a rendezvous with God at Armageddon. Everything is falling into place for the day when Jesus will judge the goat nations on the Day of the Lord - His Second Coming!
The world does not realize or most Christians for that matter, that we are probably "one decade" away from the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the setting up of His kingdom on this earth.
Those who believe the kingdom is strictly spiritual and not literal, need to open their blind eyes and read the prophets, for their prophecies are coming to pass almost on a daily basis. Jesus told us that when Israel was reborn as a secular nation among the nations of the world (read Matthew 24 carefully where Jesus speaks about the buds before the leaves are seen - the budding began in 1897, but the nation did not put on leaves that identify it as a nation until 1948; however, the last generation is marked from the point of the budding and not the formation of the leaves) that generation would not end until all prophecies are fulfilled concerning the 7-year tribulation and the Second Coming. As Noah's last generation was 120-years, so is the last generation of the Church Age or Pentecostal Age. The Passover Age preceded the Pentecostal Age and the Pentecostal Age will precede the Tabernacle Age. Tabernacles represent Jesus living personally among His people on earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
These are some things to consider, which is the biblical worldview.
